I just received an amethyst ring as a gift I have never seen a jewel before cutting this way. Stone is very high, about three quarters of an inch in Lenth and is flanked on one side of tiny diamonds. It is a stone slightly oval, smooth and round on top, like a marble to the sides slightly deflated and Botton. Plum is a very deep dark color. Can anyone give me the story again this ring?
